The Flower Press
Winter 2006
by Claire Roorbach Olson

Event though it's cold and dreary outside, our greenhouses look like spring!  You could even pretend it's Florida inside. Stop in anytime to breath the wonderful air - and yes, that is citrus blossoms you smell.  The "Meyer" and "Bonanza" lemons are in full bloom (they have ripening fruit on them as well).  We encourage you to browse throughout the entire greenhouse.  Spring plants are being started and some of the geraniums have blossoms.  New varieties are arriving almost daily.
We are enjoying our new Container Gardening/Workshop & Seminar space that has been "carved" out of the growing greenhouse.  We are moving along with plans for a remodeled garden center this spring.  The most exciting is the plan for more parking - off street and angled!  There are always new studies on how to make a selling space more customer-friendly and we're trying to keep up with the findings.  If you aren't happy, then we aren't happy.
Our spring workshop schedule is pretty well finalized with times, costs, and itinerary.  If you have questions, please feel free to contact us.  We are especially looking forward to the "Welcome Spring" event: an all day seminar, lunch, workshop to be held in our new area. This will be the test.

Again, while we wait for spring weather outside, we invite you to come into the greenhouses for a breath of fresh air, anytime you are in the area.
